Meet Tom & Renee Gossett
Tom Gossett grew up in South Salem, New York. He has always loved the small town atmosphere and chose to stay and create his business here. When Tom started the nursery in 1982, his vision was to continue the tradition of providing a local place where the community meets.
Tom has grown Gossett Brothers Nursery from the quaint garden center established in 1982 to a year-round community gathering place and expanded the nursery’s services to include masonry, landscape design and other convenient contracted services for home owners and businesses throughout upper New York and Connecticut. He is currently working on establishing an on-premises winery to enhance the offerings of Gossett’s Farmers Market, which takes place every Wednesday & Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM at the nursery.
Renee Bayha-Gossett has enjoyed a rewarding career at the Pound Ridge Veterinary Center since 1988 and was voted one of Westchester County’s Top Vets in 2011 and 2012. Renee has always been active in the South Salem community and in 2001 began volunteering her veterinary skills to care for the 25 grey and red wolves at the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem. She is also an active member of the Pound Ridge Community Church, serving on various committees.
Tom and Renee live in South Salem with their two children, Billy and Elizabeth. The Gossett family shares their home with their dog Dottie and a cat named Peter George.
